About This Blog

A while back, I went to see Randy Stonehill in concert and afterwards I was able to talk with him a little.  I expressed to him my impatience to have my music be heard.  I felt useless in Gods hands.  But instead of giving me some self help line, he said a few words I shall never forget:

"Don't focus on the destination.  Focus on the journey."

That is what my blog is primarily about, the journey.  I desire, through my music and my writing, to open your heart and mind to the reality that Jesus is with us on this journey.  That He is good even in the midst of our suffering.  That His presence is what gives us joy and helps us on this long road.

When I was fourteen, I went through a time of depression.  I was very ill.  Life had no point at all, and I felt far away from Jesus.  This time in my life, as hard as it was, brought me to the depths of my wretchedness and showed me that Jesus is so precious and right there next to us, in every minute of our journey.  Until we come to the end of our ability, we can never fully comprehend the depth of His love.

Yes, having my music heard and trying to sell my CD is important to me.  I have to eat after all.  But that's not why I am here.  My hope is that the words I write and the songs I sing encourage you to depend on Jesus more. To show you that you're not alone.

Where ever you are, right now, that is where you are going to find God.

I also want to show through my blog that this journey should never be taken for granted.  That we should stop lying to ourselves and start living the abundant life Jesus calls us to live!

Music and writing are two ways we can express what life really is... real and abundant!  These should never be taken for granted, but used to their fullest quality and ability.

So I appeal to you all: live abundantly and invite Jesus into your journey now.

"O send out Your light and Your truth, let them lead me; let them bring me to Your holy hill and to Your dwelling place."~ Psalm 43:3
